2004 FBC Maumelle Mission Trips

Brazil
A team of 8 FBCM members journeyed to Brazil on July 9th - July 19th.  FBCM has joined with Global Impact in helping to establish a partnership with Brazilian churches.  This mission trip focused on four new missions where there has been little or no Gospel witness.  The trip helped make great strides in establishing a brand new church.  The Maumelle Team joined with other groups from Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas to form large evangelistic teams in four cities to assist the new congregations in sharing Jesus with their cities.  Team members were: Dr. Jeff Beshears, Pastor of FBCM; Jonathan Beshears; Louise McCulloch; Bob McKissick; James Marbury; Linda Marbury; Tonia Walkup and Jackie Wheeler. Our team conducted Vacation Bible School for children in the city of Elias Fausto, a two hour drive from Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Our team also participated in door-to-door outreach, street evangelism using tracts and handing out the unique "Slip Disc" frisbees in the Portuguese language. They also participated in evangelistic services in the local church they worked with.  Please be in prayer for the work in Brazil, that many more churches will be established and many more individuals will come to faith in Jesus Christ!
 

Greece
In August 2004, FBC Maumelle sent church member, Bruce Walkup, to join a missions team at the Olympics in Thessaloniki, Greece. The primary goal was personal evangelism among the Greek Orthodox as well as sharing Christ with people from the many nations who where there for the games.
 

Past Missions Efforts
In the past 5 years FBCM has also sent mission teams to Cuba, Brazil, Spain, Morocco, Savannah, Georgia and Raymond, New Hampshire.  Our greatest mission field is right here in Maumelle.  Come join with us as we strive to reach the community with the greatest news the world has ever known.  There is a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!
